Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities in an AWS-first environment.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data workflows that empower data engineers. You will own observability, security best practices, and collaboration with data scientists and security teams to scale and automate data infrastructure.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS core services expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda.
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, S3 data lake.
• Proficiency with IaC: Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Containers and orchestration: Docker, ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Observability systems design: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting.
• Strong communication for cross-functional teams.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines: metrics, logs, alerts.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates for data engineers.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (Airflow/MWAA, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion/transformation.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
