Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will design and operate AWS-based data infrastructure and CI/CD tooling to empower data engineers to ship secure, high-quality data products faster. You will own the observability stack, ensure SLA compliance, and mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices within a

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with data engineering exposure.
• Proficiency with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and/or AWS CDK; strong CI/CD tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure (Terraform/CDK) including S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, and network components.
• Own observability for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts (CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Develop DataOps tooling and templates to enable rapid production-grade pipelines.
