Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivering data pipelines and analytics capabilities in an AWS-first environment.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data teams to ship high-quality data products safely and rapidly. You will own the design and operation of data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while improving

Competenze

5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL and data infra.
Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK).
Own observability stack for data pipelines: metrics, logs, alerts.
Develop self-service DataOps tools and templates for rapid production pipelines.
Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
Build AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
Enforce security with Secrets Manager, IAM least privilege, network segmentation.
Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to scale infrastructure.
Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
