Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of the systems powering Proofpoint's data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD tooling that enable data engineers to ship high-quality data products faster and more safely.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS core services knowledge (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform / CDK).
• Strong CI/CD design and maintenance.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS).

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL and Athena.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra for data services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow) including upgrades.
• Drive security best practices across the data platform.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs.
