Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building AWS-first cloud infrastructure (S3, Glue, Athena), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling that empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products safely.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure with IaC (Terraform / CDK) for S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, VPCs and more.
• Own the observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable templates for pipeline deployment.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) to support data services.
• Operate MWAA/Airflow or Step Functions for workflow orchestration, including upgrades and scaling.
• Create and maintain PySpark-based AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion.
• Enforce security: Secrets Manager, least privilege IAM, network segmentation, compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and security teams on scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems for data platform outages.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
