Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid capacity. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD tooling, and data workflows to ship high-quality data products quickly and safely.
You will work with AWS Glue, Athena, S3, MWAA (Airflow), and related services, focusing on production-grade pipelines, observability, security, and developer
Competenze
- Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
- Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
- Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production cloud management.
- Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
Mansioni
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
- Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
- Own observability stack for data pipelines (metrics, logs, alerts).
- Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
- Lead incident response for data platform outages and drive post-mortems.
- Mentor junior engineers on DevOps and data engineering practices.
