Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities using AWS-first infrastructure, Glue/Athena, and S3.

You will own CI/CD, observability, and DataOps tooling while collaborating with data engineers, scientists, and security teams. You will design and operate data pipelines, implement secure, scalable infrastructure, and mentor junior engineers.

Competenze

5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE with ≥2 years data eng.
Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager.
Hands-on Glue ETL, Athena, and S3 lifecycle management.
IaC using Terraform and/or CDK for production clouds.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
Own the observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for SLAs.
Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow) and upgrades.
Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices.
