AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare setting. The role focuses on data modeling, pipeline development with dbt, and robust ingestion using Fivetran/HVR, AWS data services, and Argo on Kubernetes.

You will own incidents, optimize performance, and partner with Cloud/DevOps and analytics teams. Strong English communication and on-call flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake design, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformations, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python for data tooling and automation.
• Strong data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality practices.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3) and event/file ingestion patterns.
• Familiarity with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and CI/CD basics.
• Excellent written and spoken English; client-facing communication.
• On-call readiness and ability to own incidents.

Responsibilities

• - Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm hours.
• - Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments, monitor performance.
• - Manage data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
• - Operator and improve data ingestion via Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines.
• - Design and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION with tests.
• - Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• - Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads.
• - Lead incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures.
• - Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
• - Create runbooks and knowledge transfer materials.
