AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will lead data ingestion pipelines (Fivetran/HVR), design dbt models, and ensure data quality across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers while collaborating with Cloud/DevOps and business stakeholders.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python, and AWS data services, plus experience with Argo/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in data platforms.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience including design and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt experience for transformation and testing.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and ingestion pipelines.
• AWS data services exposure, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Orchestration with Argo on Kubernetes; troubleshooting data workloads.
• Python or similar language for tooling and automation.
• Strong data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality concepts.
• Observability, logging, alerting, incident-management practices.
• Ability to lead incident resolution and preventive improvements.
• Strong English communication with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments and monitor performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audits.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW/CURATED/CONSUMPTION.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards with freshness and integrity checks.
• Expand end-to-end monitoring and lineage using dbt, SynQ, Splunk, etc.
• Lead major data incidents and perform post-incident reviews.
• Support Tableau Cloud ops where data connectivity or refresh issues occur.
• Deliver standardization, automation, reliability, and cost improvements.
• Execute work via incident, request, change, and release processes.
• Create runbooks, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation.
