AgileEngine seeks a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform within a regulated healthcare environment. You will own day-to-day data platform operations, optimize performance, and drive data quality and governance with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include 5+ years in data engineering, Snowflake and dbt mastery, Fivetran/HVR ingestion, AWS S3, Argo on Kubernetes, Python, and strong data modeling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformation, testing, lineage, and deployment.
• Experience with ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR and custom pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services, especially S3 and event/file-based ingestion.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar workflow tools.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Strong data modeling, pipeline dependencies, and data quality practices.
• Experience in observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.
• Ability to lead incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to work with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage and incidents.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments and monitoring.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Oversee data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines; manage scheduling and failures.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW/ CURATED/ CONSUMPTION layers.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted data workloads.
• Define data quality, observability standards, and runbooks; ensure lineage and testing.
• Lead major data incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
