AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role demands hands-on expertise with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, and Terraform, plus strong English communication skills. You will lead incident resolution, drive reliability improvements, and mentor engineers across Data Eng, Security, Governance and Analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload operations and reliability.
• Hands-on administering Argo Workflows or similar orchestration tools.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and source‑controlled practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
• Experience with monitoring/logging/alerting tools like Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie.
• Ability to lead incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to make solid technical decisions and drive platform improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Data Eng, Security, Governance, Analytics stakeholders.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to work with client stakeholders.
• Availability to work LatAm window (9:00–18:00 ET) and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm hours.
• Operate and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows (deployments, monitoring, recovery).
• Define and improve Infrastructure as Code, config management, CI/CD, and release execution (Terraform, Git).
• Improve observability, alerts, and on-call processes; link to runbooks and evidence from Argo/dbt/Snowflake.
• Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and corrective actions; communicate findings clearly.
• Design reliability improvements (auto-remediation, alert correlation, impact analysis).
• Track service metrics (availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes, MTTR).
• Enforce change-management, access control, secrets management, auditability and HIPAA/GDPR/FDA controls.
• Create runbooks, operating procedures, architecture context and knowledge-transfer material.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote consistent best practices across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents outside staffed hours.
