Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own and improve the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. The role focuses on AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, and IaC with Terraform.

You will lead incident resolution, improve observability, and mentor engineers while coordinating with multiple stakeholders across Data, Security, and Analytics teams. LatAm daylight hours and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes in production.
• Administer and troubleshoot Argo Workflows or similar.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and production releases.
• Experience with monitoring/logging/alerting tools (Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
• Lead complex incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• Proficient with Python/Shell scripting.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Available for LatAm service window and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm coverage window and L2/L3 escalation.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (Kubernetes, EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity, recovery).
• Define and improve IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, release execution, rollback, environment consistency (Terraform & Git).
• Lead observability improvements across infra and data workloads with Argo, dbt, Snowflake, runbooks.
• Improve alert routing across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, Teams, and data observability platforms.
• Lead or support major incident response with clear stakeholder communication.
• Design reliability improvements: auto-remediation, alert correlation, impact analysis.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes, MTTR.
• Enforce change-management, access-control, secrets-management, auditability for HIPAA/GDPR/FDA regs.
• Create runbooks, procedures, architecture context, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote consistent practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
