Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own the Cloud/DevOps service tower during the LatAm window, managing AWS EKS, Argo Workflows, and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform-driven IaC.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Data Engineering and Security, and handle major incidents with rigorous post-incident reviews, while maintaining high reliability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production environments.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload operations and observability.
• Hands-on experience administering Argo Workflows or comparable workflow orchestration platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Git-based delivery practices.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
• Strong monitoring, logging, alerting and incident-routing skills (Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
• Lead complex incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; able to work with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud / DevOps service tower during the LatAm coverage window.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes-hosted workloads and Argo Workflows, including deployment and recovery.
• Define and improve standards for IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, and environment consistency using Terraform.
• Lead observability improvements across infra and data workloads with runbooks and alerts.
• Improve alert routing and escalation workflows across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty and collaboration tools.
• Lead or support major incident response with post-incident reviews and corrective actions.
• Design reliability improvements including auto-remediation and dependency-aware alerting.
• Track service metrics such as availability, SLAs, and deployment outcomes; drive improvements.
• Follow HIPAA-, GDPR-, FDA-regulated practices for access control, auditability, and documentation.
• Create and maintain runbooks, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote consistent execution across the team.
