Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. The role requires 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps and strong hands-on experience with AWS EKS, Kubernetes, and Argo Workflows.

You will lead IaC, CI/CD, and incident management efforts, mentored teams, and coordinate with Data Engineering, Security, and Analytics stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production environments.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload operations and observability.
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Argo Workflows or comparable platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and source-controlled practices.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident routing tools such as Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie.
• Ability to lead complex incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; able to interact with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform.
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows, including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Define and improve standards for IaC, configuration, CI/CD, and release management using Terraform and Git.
• Lead observability improvements linking alerts to runbooks and data platforms.
• Improve alert routing and escalation across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, and Teams.
• Lead or support major incident responses and post-incident reviews.
• Design reliability improvements like auto-remediation and impact analysis.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA compliance, deployment outcomes, MTTR.
• Apply HIPAA/GDPR/FDA-compliant change-control and auditability practices.
• Create and maintain runbooks and run documentation.
