Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI-Native/Claude Code/Codex) for a LATAM remote engagement. You will join a remote-first culture, work on an AI-native transaction platform, and use AI coding agents to dramatically increase velocity.

The role emphasizes hands-on backend/full-stack engineering, architectural decisions, reliability, and production readiness. You will navigate a large existing codebase, design new capabilities, and collaborate with product leadership to

Qualifications

• Production software systems experience required.
• Strong architecture, system design, debugging, testing, maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack with modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Relational databases and production data environments.
• Automated testing and modern software development practices.
• Cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks and reliability issues.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agents extensively.
• Leverage AI agents to refactor code, generate tests, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability and production readiness.
• Improve workflows, tooling, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, data and infrastructure layers.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Work with product leadership to translate business problems into tech solutions.
• Help a small team achieve greater development leverage through AI-assisted engineering.
