Darwoft, a Latin American remote-first tech firm, is hiring Senior/Staff Software Engineer for an AI-native, Claude Code/Codex-driven workflow. You’ll navigate a large codebase, shape architecture, and deliver SaaS features in a high-velocity, AI-assisted environment.

You’ll work on a modern transaction platform, leverage AI agents to explore code, generate production-grade code, and improve testing, observability, and reliability across distributed systems. This role is fully remote in LATAM.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack skills with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products; API-centric thinking.
• Familiarity with cloud, CI/CD, deployments, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, understand, and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new features across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt and reliability risks; improve systems.
• Use AI coding agents extensively across the lifecycle.
• Automate tests, improve tooling, and accelerate delivery.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Help the small team achieve greater development leverage with AI-assisted engineering.
