Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI-native/Claude Code/Codex) to join a LATAM-wide remote team. You will own production software, navigate a large codebase, and shape architecture while leveraging AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.

This role emphasizes pragmatic design, reliability, and ownership, with a strong focus on building AI-enabled SaaS platforms and collaborating with product leadership to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals: architecture, design, debugging, testing, maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack with modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience with web apps and SaaS products.
• Knowledge of APIs, data modeling, distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud environments, and production ops.
• Hands-on with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot).
• Ability to reason about trade-offs and own decisions.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large existing production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, and reliability issues and address them.
• Use AI coding agents extensively throughout development lifecycle.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack when needed.
• Improve testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve workflows, tooling, automation, and practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across layers.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering to increase leverage.
