Job summary

Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a remote-first team operating across LATAM markets. The role focuses on AI-native development using Claude Code, Codex and other AI agents to accelerate delivery on a modern M&A/LegalTech SaaS platform.

You will lead architectural decisions, navigate a large codebase, and collaborate with product leadership to deliver robust production software while maintaining high quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing and maintainability.
• Experience working with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack experience using modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Knowledge of automated testing and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments and production operations.
• Ability to reason about trade-offs and make pragmatic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across the SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions.
• Identify technical debt and reliability risks for improvement.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI agents extensively.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, generate/refactor code, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows and tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex cross-layer issues.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems to solutions.
• Help a small team gain engineering leverage via AI-assisted development.
