Job summary

dLocal is seeking an AI & ML Staff Engineer to lead as a senior technical reference for ML infrastructure. You will drive MLOps, enable Data Science teams from idea to production, and shape scalable, observable AI workloads.

This hybrid role focuses on safe AI integration, platform governance, and cost-aware design across multiple squads. You will mentor engineers, design scalable pipelines, and collaborate with SRE/Infra, Finance, and Product teams to advance the ML platform while maintaining

Qualifications

• Solid experience owning or designing MLOps platforms or ML infrastructure used by multiple teams.
• Strong background in distributed systems and data/stream processing.
• Experience building production-grade ML pipelines with CI/CD for models.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end-to-end ML platform architecture used by multiple squads.
• Design reproducible training pipelines, experiment tracking, and model lifecycle management.
• Balance reliability, performance, and cost for ML workloads with cross-functional teams.
• Act as go-to expert for complex MLOps questions regarding pipelines and monitoring.
• Review designs for new models and data pipelines, ensuring platform standards.
• Partner with fraud/anomaly teams to establish SLAs/SLOs for ML components.
