Job summary

dLocal is seeking an AI & ML Staff Engineer to lead the design and operation of our ML and AI infrastructure. You will guide the MLOps stack, enable Data Science teams, and scale AI usage across the platform with reliable, observable, and compliant practices.

You will drive architecture decisions, build on-call readiness, and collaborate with AI, SRE, Infra, and Product teams to ensure safe, cost-efficient AI deployments at scale.

Qualifications

• Solid experience owning or designing MLOps platforms or ML infrastructure used by multiple teams.
• Strong background in distributed systems and data/stream processing.
• Experience building production-grade ML pipelines with CI/CD for models and data.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end-to-end ML platform architecture used by multiple squads.
• Design reproducible training pipelines and model packaging with safe rollout strategies.
• Balance reliability, performance, and cost for ML workloads with cross-team collaboration.
• Lead design reviews and ensure platform standards and non-functional requirements.
