Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes while collaborating with fraud and disputes teams. The role requires working full-time Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Central Time, and offers a paid internship.

You will investigate disputes, analyze patterns, and leverage AI tools like Claude to improve processes. The position emphasizes proactive problem solving, data-driven decisions, and handling escalations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve them within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps for each case.
• Analyze transaction patterns using internal policies to identify trends.
• Understand systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.
• Work with analysts, operations, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss prevention processes and tools.
• Learn and maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations professionally with stakeholders.
• Leverage Claude or similar AI tools to enhance productivity and research.
