Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Chargeback Operations Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes, collaborating with fraud and disputes teams to resolve issues. You will gain exposure to AI-assisted workflows and rapidly evolving processes in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The role runs full-time, Monday–Friday, with a paid internship arrangement and opportunities for growth within a dynamic team focused on loss prevention and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong business judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed card/ACH transactions and take action to resolve disputes within SLA.
• Work cross-functionally with fraud and disputes to determine next steps on a case-by-case basis.
• Investigate individual transactions using internal policies to identify patterns or trends.
• Understand systems and tools; analyze account patterns through data analysis.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
• Maintain strong knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Experience with Claude or similar LLM tools; leverage AI to boost productivity.
