Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Fraud Operations Intern to help safeguard the online shopping experience by reviewing suspected fraud and false positives. You will learn the systems and collaborate with analytics, data science and engineering teams to evolve detection methods.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently after training. This is a paid internship with full-time hours 9:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, local time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time transactions and behavior flagged for fraud for manual review.
• Investigate individual transactions using internal policies to determine fraud.
• Understand systems and tools; analyze account patterns.
• Research fraud trends to contribute to models and rules.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists and engineers to improve prevention.
• Maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques.
• Meet SLAs to minimize potential losses.
• Handle escalations professionally and efficiently.
