Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Chargeback Operations Intern to analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes, working closely with fraud, risk, and disputes teams. You’ll investigate transactions, identify patterns, and recommend actions in a fast-paced environment.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time, and is a paid internship with opportunities for growth within the organization. You’ll gain hands-on experience in loss prevention and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed transactions (credit card, debit card, ACH) and take action within SLAs.
• Collaborate with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps per case.
• Analyze individual transactions using internal policies and review methods to spot patterns.
• Explore account patterns through data analysis and learn our systems/tools.
• Work with analysts, operations, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention processes.
• Develop domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs to minimize potential losses.
• Handle escalations with professionalism and efficiency.
• Utilize Claude or similar AI tools to boost productivity and research.
