Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to deliver specialized US accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll support from Argentina. The role requires strong technical accounting judgment and the ability to resolve complex issues with minimal guidance.

You'll handle escalated inquiries, review reconciliations, assist with tax notices and payroll questions, and collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows while adopting AI-assisted tools and proprietary platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in US accounting and taxation.
• Bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Able to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Experience with Zendesk or similar support tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Assist with tax notices and tax-related questions within scope.
• Support payroll questions, setup and processing issues.
• Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email, and calls.
• Investigate issues and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows.
• Learn and adapt to proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
