Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to handle complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role emphasizes technical accounting judgment beyond scripts, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.

You will work across Zendesk and email-style ticket responses, with shifts overlapping US business hours, and collaborate with internal specialists to improve workflows and knowledge

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, account reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience handling complex tax and accounting inquiries and customer-facing financial support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics to nontechnical customers.
• Comfortable in fast-paced tech environments with evolving workflows.
• Willingness to learn proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsabilités

• Provide Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated and directly assigned accounting and tax issues.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, filing status, and tax return questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email, and scheduled phone support.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Learn and work with proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
• Adapt to client transitions away from Zendesk.
