Job summary

Connections Education Llc is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to own the technical SEO across a portfolio of higher-education partner sites. Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Proficient with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely
• Clear written communication and ability to write developer-ready specs
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and deliver results
• Bonus: experience with AI-driven search (AEO/GEO) and Claude-based workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort; defend decisions
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams; ensure fixes are released and verified
• Perform light WordPress implementation (titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema) using plugins
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to detect drops and indexing problems
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and ensure structured data supports LLMs
• Build scalable systems to run the SEO service; design Claude-based tools and workflows
• Create content production systems translating briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
• Document systems and train the team; measure time savings and results
• Participate in client calls for deep technical topics and contribute to strategy
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and recommend tools/processes
