Job summary

Bcrecruitment seeks a Technical SEO Lead to drive advanced technical SEO across a portfolio of higher-education clients. You will perform audits, write developer-ready specs, and implement WordPress changes while building Claude-based tools to streamline workflows.

Remote role serving U.S.-based clients; you will monitor GSC/GA4, lead AI-enabled SEO initiatives, and collaborate with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO. 5+ years in SEO required, with strong technical focus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• A track record of uncovering high-impact issues and fixing them
• Hands-on experience with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
• Advanced, hands-on Claude experience for AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication to specify fixes and explain recommendations
• Ability to own outcomes across multiple accounts
• Bonus: AI search visibility (AEO/GEO) and familiarity with Grammarly/Asana
• Experience in higher education or enrollment marketing

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort; defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams; track fixes to release
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops and indexing problems
• Own readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization
• Build scalable SEO systems and Claude-based tools for audits, prioritization, and QA
• Create content production systems turning briefs and targets into drafts
• Document systems, train the team, and measure time saved / results improved
• Support client success and be the go-to technical resource
