Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated testing for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual and exploratory testing. You’ll build robust test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers to improve testability and release quality.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and testing Electron/React Native apps on real devices, plus familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop or web, WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real iOS/Android devices.
• Familiarity with AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure speed and reliability.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data/environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers/product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
