Newsela is a leading education technology company delivering meaningful classroom learning for every student. We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Quality Engineer who will own quality end-to-end across UI, API, and AI-assisted features.

You will build automated test frameworks, validate internal LLMs, and partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate ambiguous requirements into testable acceptance criteria. This remote role invites collaboration and impact at scale.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software testing in an Agile Scrum environment.
• 5+ years building test frameworks using TS/JS or Python with Playwright or WebdriverIO.
• Experience across manual, exploratory, regression, API/services, and DB testing.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and incremental deployment pipelines.
• Experience with AI tooling integration in daily workflows.
• Excellent scrum communication and defect trend reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and execute end-to-end automated test frameworks.
• Validate AI models and external AI tools with rigorous QE standards.
• Own test planning, execution, and release support from story validation to production.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to refine acceptance criteria.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for quality practices.
• Establish defect tracking and observability practices using AI tooling.
