Job summary

Unavailable is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing data to join a remote, async-friendly team. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines from ad platforms through Adverity and into a BigQuery warehouse, enabling Looker Studio dashboards and Google Sheets reports for education and nonprofit clients.

You will collaborate with the Data & Analytics Manager to scale the reporting suite, ensure data quality, and push for efficient, scalable data solutions across multi-client environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in marketing or agency environment.
• Experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or comparable ETL platform.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL with BigQuery experience.
• Expertise in dbt or Dataform, modular, version-controlled pipelines.
• Python proficiency for custom API connections and automation.
• CRM data flows/integrations (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Understanding of marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and platform schemas.
• Strong Git and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture from paid media to warehouse.
• Own CRM integration to ensure clean lead/enrollment data flow.
• Own data warehouse in BigQuery with scalable schema design.
• Own transformation pipelines using dbt/Dataform with consistent naming.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and data segregation across multi-client envs.
• Enable fast Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports.
• Monitor data quality, resolve API breaks, and troubleshoot data issues.
