Howard Financial is seeking a Senior Controller to own accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of US-based clients while leading the accounting team. You will serve as the senior point of contact for clients and direct the team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery, with a focus on real estate as a core vertical.

The role requires technical accounting expertise, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and clients simultaneously in a remote setting.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in controller roles.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements or portfolios.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own month-end close and financial reporting across client portfolio.
• Lead, coach and review accountants and senior accountants.
• Maintain client relationships as senior point of contact.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
• Apply US GAAP to complex transactions for clients.
• Identify process improvements to speed up close and accuracy.
• Escalate issues and guide leadership as needed.
