Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build robust test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure high quality across features.

You will collaborate with developers, product teams, and other QA professionals to define testing strategies, stabilize releases, and improve test coverage using Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and AI-assisted testing tools.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation.
Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
