Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing across our fintech products. You will build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure rapid, reliable feedback on product quality.

You will work with modern stacks including Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Electron, and React Native, and you will explore AI-assisted QA tools to enhance coverage. This role is remote and globally distributed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, incl. iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI QA tools; evaluating their outputs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data/environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product to improve testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk and maintain regression suites.
