Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile applications. You’ll build robust regression tests, integrate them into CI/CD workflows, and ensure high-quality releases across web and native platforms.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, hands-on testing experience, and familiarity with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, Electron and React Native apps. Global remote work and AI tool usage are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO/Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps (iOS/Android).
• Experience using AI QA tools and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and link to bugs.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
