Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation for its cutting-edge fintech apps, while also performing manual testing when needed. You’ll help ensure high-quality releases across Electron and React Native environments, with strong emphasis on CI/CD integration and testability improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO and Appium, plus familiarity with AI-powered QA tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA automation experience; hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI QA tools and evaluating their output. Testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
