Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and perform manual and exploratory testing to ensure robust software across Electron and React Native apps.

You will work with developers and product teams, apply AI tools in QA, and participate in on-call rotations. This remote, global position offers USD-based pay and opportunities for professional growth within a fintech leader.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
