Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

Build and maintain test automation, integrate into CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures, report bugs, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality across the SDLC. This role offers remote work options in a fintech environment that embraces AI-assisted QA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software quality assurance
• 3+ years in automated testing
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Holistic quality mindset
• Gherkin (BDD) experience
• Prompt engineering and harness engineering
• Agentic QE skills experience
• Experience with Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter
• SQL proficiency
• Ruby on Rails and backend development
• Degree in CS or related field

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug ID.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
