Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing, combining automated test suites with manual exploration. You’ll build, maintain, and run tests across Electron/React Native apps, and push tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

You’ll collaborate with developers and product teams to define testability, report clear bugs, and maintain robust regression suites, ensuring fast, reliable releases for our global fintech platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
