Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing across its fintech platform. You will build and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD, investigate failures, and collaborate with product and developers to ensure high quality releases.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, exploratory approaches, and leveraging AI tools to enhance quality. Global remote team, competitive USD-based compensation, and flexible work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

4+ years in QA automation.
Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
Experience using AI tools in QA and reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
