Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a curious Product Intern to join the Payments & Fees team. You will support the product manager by organizing tickets, gathering context from stakeholders, and analyzing payment flows using SQL in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You'll collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams, translate technical challenges into clear requirements, and help maintain internal docs and dashboards while learning from experienced teammates. This is a remote internship with real impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, CS, Economics, Finance).
• Strong interest in payments/fintech and how complex financial systems work.
• Natural curiosity and logical mindset—enjoy solving problems and asking questions.
• High attention to detail and persistence to resolve issues.
• Comfort with data and willingness to learn SQL; prior experience is a plus.
• Clear written/verbal communication; ability to summarize complex topics.
• Experience with internships/projects related to product/fintech/data is a plus; AI tools experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the product manager in drafting, organizing, and tracking tickets for changes to the payments service.
• Gather background context from multiple stakeholders and prepare materials for provider meetings.
• Learn and apply SQL to query payment data and support dashboards tracking performance and health.
• Maintain clear internal documentation for payment flows, fee structures, and processes.
• Participate in agile meetings and collaborate with engineering, operations, compliance, and support teams.
