Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Product Intern to join the Payments & Fees team. You will assist in backlog management, analyze payment flows with SQL, and collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will bridge technical and business needs, contribute to decision-making, and gain hands-on experience across product, data insights, and cross-functional partnerships at Sezzle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Genuine interest in payments and fintech.
• Natural curiosity and a logical mindset—enjoy solving problems.
• Strong attention to detail and data-driven approach.
• Willingness to learn SQL; prior experience is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Previous internships, projects, or extracurriculars in product, fintech, data analysis, or startups is a plus.
• Experience with Claude or similar AI tools is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist the product manager in drafting, organizing, and tracking tickets for changes to the payments service, ensuring clear documentation and prioritization.
• Gather inputs from multiple stakeholders, summarize key information, and prepare materials for provider meetings.
• Learn SQL and help create dashboards that track payment performance and operational health.
• Maintain clear internal documentation for payment flows and fee structures, keeping cross-functional teams aligned.
• Participate in agile meetings and collaborate with engineering, operations, compliance, and support teams.
