Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a curious Product Operations Intern to join our Rewards team in a dynamic fintech environment. You will support receipt quality, validate submissions, and help shape the product with engineering and data partners.

This role blends operations with a strong product lens, requiring attention to detail and clear communication. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and data teams, turning real-world patterns into actionable improvements and prioritized work

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Interest in consumer fintech, rewards and loyalty programs, or scale-driven product operations.
• Strong attention to detail and structured thinking; can extract patterns and turn them into rules or recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write bug reports and summarize trends for non-technical audiences.
• Experience with internships/projects in operations, product, fintech, data analysis, trust & safety, or startups is a plus. Familiarity with Claude or similar LLM tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day quality of receipt scanning submissions and apply validation rules.
• Identify edge cases, unusual formats, duplicates, and abuse signals; document findings for scale.
• Provide actionable feedback to engineering with clear bug reports and reproducible examples.
• Maintain a prioritized improvement backlog and justify priorities by impact and cost.
• Track fixes, verify improvements, and flag regressions; document guidelines and escalation paths.
