Job summary

Sezzle seeks a curious Product Intern to join the Payments & Fees team. You’ll support backlog management, analyze payment data, and collaborate with engineers, design, and data teams to improve payment flows while learning fintech operations.

You will work cross-functionally to translate technical challenges into actionable business requirements, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Genuine interest in payments, fintech and how financial systems work.
• Natural curiosity and logical mindset; enjoy solving problems and asking questions.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through to resolve issues.
• Willingness to learn SQL; prior experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to summarize complex topics clearly.
• Prior internship/project experience in product, fintech, data analysis, or startups is a plus.
• Experience with Claude or equivalent LLM tools is preferred; comfortable leveraging AI to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the product manager by drafting, organizing, and tracking tickets for changes to the payments service.
• Summarize inputs from stakeholders and prepare materials for provider meetings.
• Learn and apply SQL to query payment data and support dashboards.
• Maintain internal documentation for payment flows, fees, and processes.
• Participate in agile meetings and collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams.
