Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. You will review SageMaker-based pipelines, mentor the team on engineering standards, and evaluate AI-assisted development workflows to ensure cost governance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, hands-on AWS expertise, and a phased advisory approach (50% then 25%).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker, EventBridge, VPC/ALB/CloudFront, IAM).
• Fluency with Infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform.
• Proven track record designing/auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture decisions.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted/LLM-assisted development workflows.
• Part-time advisory capacity (50% down to 25%).
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live applications and pipelines.
• Review CI/CD process and SDLC governance; propose environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for code generation and reviews.
• Provide early opinions on ETL/data ingestion architecture.
• Mentor and accelerate the infrastructure build team focusing on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD.
• Set recommendations and technical direction from audit findings.
• Report findings to leadership with risk and readiness framing.
