AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. You will weigh managed tooling against custom builds and mentor the team on engineering standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing SageMaker-based pipelines, evaluating AI-assisted workflows, and reporting findings to leadership with clear risk assessments. The role blends hands-on insight with strategic guidance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, SageMaker, EventBridge, VPC/ALB/CloudFront, IAM).
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance (release gating).
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Part-time advisory capacity with mentoring abilities.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps (MAT, Signal IQ, Impact Engine).
• Review CI/CD lifecycle and propose SDLC governance layers.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for quality and cost governance.
• Advise on ETL/data-ingestion architecture: managed tools vs custom builds.
• Mentor the infrastructure build team in AWS, DevOps, and data practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction after audits.
• Report findings and risks to leadership.
