AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. This role weighs managed tooling against custom builds and mentors the team on engineering standards. Evaluating AI-assisted workflows is part of the remit.

You'll review SageMaker-based MLOps, Claude Code usage, and SDLC governance, delivering actionable recommendations directly to leadership. Flexible remote arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AWS hands-on experience across ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, SageMaker and more.
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture decisions.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Comfortable in a part-time advisory capacity with mentoring responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps, including ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, IAM.
• Review CI/CD process and end-to-end SDLC governance with environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for PR generation and automated reviews.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architecture (ELT tools vs custom).
• Mentor and accelerate the infrastructure build team focusing on AWS, DevOps, and data practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction from audit findings.
• Report findings to leadership with high-level risk and readiness framing.
