Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions. You will evaluate SageMaker-based pipelines, mentor the team, and shape engineering standards. This role emphasizes advisory leadership and cost governance.

The position offers flexible hours (50% then 25%), remote work options, and opportunities to influence critical data and infrastructure decisions across projects with Fortune 500 clients.

Qualifications

• 6+ years deep hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, SageMaker.
• Fluency with Infrastructure‑as‑Code, especially Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture decisions.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Excellent communication for a part-time advisory role (50% to 25%).
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps and SageMaker‑based MLOps pipelines.
• Review CI/CD process and SDLC governance; advise on environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate use of Claude Code for code generation and reviews to meet engineering standards.
• Provide initial technical opinions on ETL/data ingestion architecture.
• Mentor the build/infrastructure team on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data practices.
• Draft recommendations and direction from audit findings for leadership.
