AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. You will mentor the team on engineering standards while weighing managed tooling against custom builds and reviewing SageMaker-based MLOps pipelines.

The role emphasizes strong governance, cost controls, and delivering actionable recommendations directly to leadership. This position offers flexible scheduling and remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker, VPC/ALB, IAM.
• Fluency with Infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architectures.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows and cost governance.
• Comfortable in a part-time advisory role and mentoring engineers.

Responsabilités

• Audit AWS architecture across live applications and review EC2/ECS deployments.
• Review CI/CD processes and SDLC governance, including environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for quality, cost, and compliance with standards.
• Provide opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architecture, managed tools vs. custom builds.
• Mentor the infra build team and set technical direction.
• Report findings and recommendations to leadership with risk framing.
