Job summary

Smartrecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Data Center operations. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with client-facing project management across hardware deployment, cabling, power/cooling, and remote hands.

You will own client relationships, drive end-to-end ticketing in Jira/ServiceNow, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope. Remote work is supported, with potential travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in datacenter operations or closely related field.
• Direct client-facing experience in a technical role.
• Hands-on familiarity with server hardware, cabling, power distribution, and remote hands operations.
• Proficiency with ITSM tooling (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) and project management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned client accounts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead client onboarding, scoping calls, and technical review meetings.
• Translate client requirements into actionable work orders and internal tickets.
• Own the full ticket lifecycle in Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent ITSM platform and close tickets with clear documentation.
• Track multi-workstream projects across planning, procurement, deployment, and sign-off.
• Oversee datacenter operations including server rack/stack, cabling, power, and cooling.
• Coordinate with vendors on procurement, lead times, and returns; ensure change management and safety compliance.
• Manage project budgets, review invoices, and assist in preparing quotes/SOWs.
• Lead and develop a small team of technicians/ coordinators; create SOPs and onboarding materials.
